IKING Type SD Shear Stud AS/NZS 1554.2 | Carbon Steel Shear Connector For Composite Deck, Bridge & High-rise Building

Features:
1. Made by high quality low carbon headed steel wire, make sure 19mm shear stud dimensionss mechanical properties and welding property, no cracks on studs' heads.
2. High precision multi-station cold forming machine, ensure high precision and constant shear studs dimensions, round chamfer at the end of the studs.
3. High precision dimensions make the shear studs easy to load into the welding gun chuck and hold tight properly; Flat weld end with round chamfer make the shear studs easy to insert into the ceramic ferrule hole, and get 360 degree perfect weld collar.
4. Accurate calculated aluminium flux embedded by unique equipment automatically, ensure the welding quality and avoid cavities in the welding bead.
Surface Treatment:
IKING shear connectors used high quality low carbon steel proceed by pickling and phosphating, ensure the studs have long time anti-rust condition.

Weld Shear Connector Studs Welding Process
Drawn arc stud welding for shear connectors can be done mechanically or automatically, using welding guns or welding heads. The shear stud is inserted into the stud holder and – fitted with a ceramic ferrule, if necessary – applied to the work piece. At the beginning of the welding process, the stud is lifted by the mechanism and, normally, first a pilot arc, then the main arc, are struck between the tip of the shear stud and the work piece. This causes the face of the stud and the parent material to melt. When the welding time has elapsed, the 19mm shear stud dimensions is plunged with little force (< 100 N) into the molten pool, and the current source is switched off. The ceramic ferrule is then removed. Figure shows the sequence of events using a ceramic ferrule.

FAQ
Q: Can you produce customized shear studs & accept OEM & ODM orders?
A: Yes. We support OEM logo marking on stud heads, customized non-standard lengths, special surface treatment and private packaging for global distributors and engineering contractors.
Q: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for shear studs?
A: Standard size stock MOQ is 1 ton. Custom non-standard sizes MOQ is 3 tons. Small trial orders and sample orders are acceptable for client testing.
Q: Can you provide Mill Test Certificate (MTC) for each batch goods?
A: Absolutely. Every shipment comes with official Mill Test Certificate including raw material composition, tensile test, yield strength and elongation data to pass third-party inspection.
Q: Are phosphating shear studs corrosion resistant for bridge construction?
A: Phosphating surface treatment offers basic anti-rust protection for short-term storage and inland bridge projects. For coastal, humid or long-exposure bridges, we recommend additional anti-corrosion coating or stainless steel studs.
Q: What surface treatments can you offer for shear connectors?
A: Standard: pickling + phosphating anti-rust. Optional: bright polishing, oil coating, customized anti-rust paint upon client request.
